Aerial Photography

In compliance with the Federal Aviation Administration,  we operate our drones under Part 107 of the Code of Federal Regulations 14. This mandates one of us hold an Airman's Certificate for small Unmanned Aerial Vessels (sUAV) operations and operate as the Drone Pilot-in-Command. Along with the licensing comes flight restrictions, such as altitude, visibility, and cloud coverage. To add to the mix, we also have to compete for airspace with other aircraft. While not usually a problem, some areas restrict or prohibit drone operations. Be sure to check your address at the FAA UAS Map prior to booking a shoot to ensure we can fulfill your needs.

Type of Aerial Photography

We offer two types of aerial photography - still photos and video. They can be in regular landscape portrait format or in the horizontal format preferred on social media (i.e., viewable in phones).

Aerial Photography isn't just limited to real estate, there are numerous other ways to take advantage of our abilities, such as construction, roof inspections, fields inspections, and forest inspections. The sky's the limit (literally).

Our pricing depends on your needs. If included as an add-on for Real Estate Photography, it can be as low as $120 to $180.  

For commercial operations and large lots (10 or more acres) we charge $400.00 per hour (including travel time if over 30 minutes away), with a minimum charge of $400.00. 

One thing to be aware of is the possibility of FAA flight restrictions. To see if any flight restrictions exist in the location you want photographed or filmed, check out this map (just enter the address in the block in the upper left). If there is a square with a number between zero and 400, there is a flight restriction (such as near SeaTac International Airport, Boeing Field, or JBLM). We may be able to work around that, but it may require some time to get a flight waiver.
